About
Juan Bernardo Pastuszak
I am Juan Bernardo Pastuszak, an aerospace engineer based in London. I am studying for an MSc in Advanced Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London (2026 to 2027). I graduated from the University of Bristol with First Class Honours in BEng Aerospace Engineering and the Royal Aeronautical Society Prize for the highest-achieving final-year student across the whole Aerospace Engineering cohort, including the BEng, MEng and MSc programmes.
I want to work on guidance and control for autonomous aerospace systems, with a focus on UAVs, and I like checking models against real hardware. My projects so far are a gain scheduled pitch rate controller for an F-16 model, a camera-guided CubeSat pointing demonstrator that won Best Satellite at the UKSEDS Satellite Design Competition, the electronics and firmware of a rocket payload for HyPower Bristol, and a composites research project at the Bristol Composites Institute.
Languages: English and Spanish. Outside engineering I play classical piano (Grade 8 with Distinction), chess and football.
